CareerStar is an early stage, woman founded New York based startup that provides personalized, data-driven and encouraging professional mentoring services. We are active in our community and believe inclusion and ideation come first in product development.
We are currently recruiting for three PAID internship positions - Data Analytics Intern, Marketing & Social Media Intern and Curriculum Development. Be part of a fun, collaborative and innovative team that has already changed people's lives. We desire to work with you in carving out the exact role that suits our objectives and your dreams! This is a 4-5 hour a week time commitment for 2.5 months. Paid stipend will be contingent upon completion of successful internship term.
We’re looking for a (paid) dedicated Data Analytics Intern who is passionate about leveraging data to drive insights and decision-making, while being part of a fun and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CareerStar team to understand data requirements and assist in designing scalable solutions.
- Analyze user data to identify patterns and trends that will enhance user experience and improve platform engagement.
- Conduct data exploration projects to identify emerging trends and actionable insights for user roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain data models that support analytical reporting, user behavior analysis, and future product features.
- Assist in the development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
- Contribute to machine learning models that support dynamic user roadmap creation and personalization.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as SQL, Excel, and Python.
- Experience with React for application development is a plus.
- Experience in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and analytical reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud-based analytics solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and their applications in data analytics.
- Enthusiasm, optimism, and advocacy for the CareerStar vision.
We’re looking for a (paid) dedicated Marketing & Social Media Intern who is passionate about developing content that helps people, while being part of a fun and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with founder to build core brand media strategies to increase engagement and interactivity
- Create fun, functional and fabulous content for across platforms (Discord, TikTok/Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Analyze social media metrics and provide insights to improve performance
- Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to promote CareerStar’s services and events
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, queries and messages
- Coordinate with design team to ensure media assets are consistent
Qualifications:
- Experience growing a community in Discord/Instagram/etc.
- Familiarity with Canva, Figma, Mailchimp a plus
- Video content creation/editing
- Optimism, enthusiasm and advocacy for the CareerStar vision a must!
We’re looking for a (paid) dedicated Curriculum Development Intern who loves to educate, play games and develop engaging material while being part of a fun and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop educational activities that are fun and drive professional development
- Work with CareerStar team to incorporate current educational assets into curriculum roadmap
- Engage with outside experts about relevant topics
- Something that YOU would love to contribute 😀 🚀
Qualifications:
- Experience developing educational content, research reports, teaching
- Great communication and writing skills
- Ability to synthesize and present information into clear, creative and engaging content
- Familiarity with Notion
- Optimism, enthusiasm and advocacy for the CareerStar vision a must!
