Meet Clara, Our Founder
CareerStar is led by CEO Clara Fletcher, a lifelong optimist, product entrepreneur, local Alumni Association President, and volunteer Girl Scout troop leader. Drawing from her experience as a Java developer, international team leader, and Inclusion and Diversity Hiring Lead at Accenture, Clara has always been passionate about helping others and solving problems. She also serves as a Strategic Advisor, mentor, and volunteer for several organizations in her community. You can find her leading networking walks or playing with her dog Beatrix in Prospect Park most weeks. 💖🦸♀️
Our Journey
Our journey began in the Spring, marked by an exciting partnership with Tech Walk that set the foundation for our mission. Shortly after, we launched our first career launchpad, welcoming 13 participants. With determination and personalized guidance, 8 of them successfully secured job offers or placements, a milestone that fueled our passion to grow.
As we moved forward, we focused on enhancing our product, creating over 70 thoughtfully designed activities aimed at empowering individuals in their career development. By Fall, we achieved another milestone by forging our first professional collaboration with Algorizin, expanding our impact and reaffirming our commitment to supporting career success.
This is just the beginning, and we’re excited for what lies ahead!
